AI Cleaner – Privacy Policy

AI Cleaner (“the app”) helps you free up storage on your Android device. This policy explains what the app accesses and why.

In short: all cleaning happens on your device. Your photos, videos, contacts and calendar never leave your phone. The app shows ads served by Google AdMob and uses Google Firebase for anonymous usage analytics and remote settings, as described below.

Data the app accesses

Photos and videos – read to find duplicate, similar, blurry and large files, and to compress them. Image fingerprints are computed and cached locally on the device. Files are only moved to Trash or deleted after you confirm in the Android system dialog.
Contacts – read to find duplicate and incomplete contacts, merge or delete them at your request, and create backups that are stored only inside the app’s private storage.
Calendar – read to list past events and delete the ones you select.
App usage access (optional) – used by App Manager to show app sizes and when each app was last used. Uninstalling always goes through the Android system prompt.
Biometrics – used through the Android system to unlock Secret Space. The app never receives your fingerprint or face data.
Secret Space – files and contacts you add are copied into the app’s private storage on your device and protected by your PIN (stored as a salted hash).

Advertising

The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect and process your device’s advertising ID, IP address (used for approximate location), device and app information, and ad interaction and diagnostic data, to serve, measure and personalize ads and prevent fraud. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice anytime in Settings → Privacy settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.

Analytics and remote settings

The app uses Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used (for example: a scan finished, how many items were cleaned and how much space was freed, which screens were opened). These events contain counts and sizes only — never file names, photos, contact details or calendar contents. Firebase collects an app-instance ID, device model, OS version, country/region and similar device information. See how Google uses data from partner apps.

The app uses Firebase Remote Config to download settings such as ad frequency. This sends an app-instance ID to Google but no personal content.

The data listed under “Data the app accesses” is never transmitted off your device. Only the advertising and analytics data described above is shared with Google (AdMob and Firebase).

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes all of its local data, including contact backups and Secret Space contents. Restore anything you want to keep before uninstalling.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.
